The Stress of planning a wedding!! Here's how we help our couples!!

How we Prepare for Your Wedding Day Photography

1. Create a Shot List

Together we create a list by discussing with our couples about specific shots they want, including family combinations, candid moments, and special details.

2. Plan the Timeline

We Coordinate and help create the wedding day timeline with our couples to ensure there is enough time for key moments and portraits.

3. Choose a Location

We discuss locations for pre-wedding and post-ceremony photos. Keeping in mind to consider places that reflect your personality and your love story.  If the venue will be the location for photos, then we will go to the venue 1 week before the wedding and scout out the location for perfect spots that will create beautiful backgrounds.

4. Prepare Your Wedding Attire

We remind our couples to ensure that the wedding dress, suit, and accessories are ready and in good condition. Plan with your stylist for hair and makeup.

5. Provide Information

We will discuss details about family dynamics, key guests, and cultural traditions that you would like to be captured and included in creating your Heirloom Album.

6. Consider Lighting

We discuss the importance of natural light and how it will affect your pictures. Schedule your ceremony accordingly if possible.

7. Have a Backup Plan

We will plan and prepare for unexpected weather by having a contingency plan for outdoor shoots, such as renting a tent or choosing an indoor location. Purchasing a bunch of clear umbrellas can make for some fun and epic pictures.

8. Communicate with Your Photographer

We always maintain open communication in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Share thoughts, ideas, and any last-minute changes.

9. Get Organized

Prepare a folder with important details, such as contact information of key vendors, and share it with everyone involved in creating, planning, and preparing your wedding day.

10. Relax and Enjoy the Day

Trust us to capture the moments while you enjoy your special day. Your happiness will shine through the photos!

That’s about it! You now know everything you need to plan for a great Wedding Day! Good luck with your planning. We know you’ve got this. But if you ever have any questions, drop us a line, and we’ll be glad to help!

Xoxo,

Marie & Amanda
